About Us
The Movement Disorders Clinic, under the direction of Dr. Mandar Jog, was established in April 1998 for the optimal treatment of patients with movement disorders including conditions such as Parkinson's, Huntington's, dystonia, tremor, ataxia, myoclonus, tics, and Tourette's syndrome. The clinic takes a multi-disciplinary approach to treating these disorders and avails of the expertise from neurology, neurosurgery, speech and language pathology, occupational and physiotherapy and nutritional services.

The objectives of the clinic are:



a) Patient Services:



  • To assess the nature of your illness and offer a long-term plan of care for you and your family.
  • To be available to answer your questions and direct your care with your family physician to optimally manage your illness.
  • To provide treatment options including both medical and surgical therapy.

b) Research Initiatives:



  • To dedicate our team to understand the mechanisms of these disorders by a vigilant and directed clinical and laboratory research program, both in neurological and functional neurosurgical subspecialties.
